Recreate the effects of telecom transmission across seven decades of infrastructure — from 1920s Bell analog to modern Voice-Over-IP protocols. Narrowband isn’t based on convolution or IR capture, instead it uses purpose-built IIR filters derived directly from ITU-T and 3GPP specifications sourced from the actual regional standards. The DSP chain covers handset microphone emulation, hybrid transformer impedance modeling and saturation, bandpass filtering, sidechain ducking, and codec emulation.
