SM-Ai is a macOS application designed to work with Soundminer database software, utilizing AI to optimize and organize audio library metadata. The tool addresses inconsistencies in metadata from various sources like purchased libraries, shared libraries, and custom field recordings.
Example Presets:
Footstep Parser Analyzes filenames and descriptions to extract surface, footwear, and action data, structuring it for easier searching within Soundminer's linked filter search.
Parse Location (GPS/Text) Extracts geolocation data from GPS columns, location columns, filenames, and descriptions, formatting it universally into continent, country, state, and city. This preset can also deduce locations from prominent landmarks (ie. "Big Ben" or "Golden Gate Bridge")
Kai's Style Guide Applies a universal formatting style to description fields, aiming for consistency across the entire library.
UCS CatID Generator Identifies and fills in Universal Category System (UCS) CatIDs, leveraging both internal logic and AI to find the best match.
Mic Perspective Inference Populates the mic perspective field (e.g., "int" or "ext") based on references to interior/indoor or exterior/outdoor in the metadata.
Keyword Generator Generates additional keywords by prompting the AI to imagine the sound, expanding search terms beyond existing file names and descriptions.
System Requirements:
MacOS 13.5 or later
Soundminer V4.5Pro, V5Pro, V6 Pro or V6 Plus
Internet connection (for cloud AI providers) or local LLM setup
